Lester S. Rosen is an attorney at law, background checking and employment screening expert, and founder of Employment Screening Resources (www.ESRcheck.com), a national background screening company acquired by ClearStar in December 2021.

He authored “The Safe Hiring Manual(826 pages-Facts on Demand Press/3d edition January 2017), the first comprehensive book on employment screening.

He is a consultant, writer, and frequent presenter nationwide on pre-employment screening and safe hiring issues.

He was the chairperson of the steering committee that founded the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) and served as the first co-chairperson. It is now known as the Professional Background Screeners Association (PBSA). He was the 2019 recipient of the PBSA Lifetime Achievement Award.
